5 dAYS GORILLAS & GOLDEN MONKEYS
Join a 5-day adventure dedicated to tracking gorillas and golden monkeys in Uganda. This journey takes you through lush forests for guided treks to observe these incredible primates in their natural habitats. Along the way, you'll learn about local culture and community initiatives while enjoying meals and comfortable accommodations.
ARRIVE AT ENTEBBE AIRPORT
Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be warmly greeted and transferred to your lodge in Entebbe for some leisure time. After settling in, you will embark on a tour of Mabamba Swamp and its surroundings. In the evening, you will return to your hotel for the night. Your accommodation will be at Entebbe Forest Lodge on a half-board basis, including dinner and breakfast.
ENTEBBE - BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast at 7:00 AM, you will fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving at 8:15 AM. Upon arrival, you have the option to visit a Batwa community or relax at the lodge. Your accommodation will be at Clouds Mountain Lodge on a full board basis.
BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK -GORILLA TREKKING
You will start the day with an early breakfast, followed by gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest. This guided trek will take you through the dense forest, where you will have the chance to encounter mountain gorillas. In the afternoon, you have the option to visit a local community and interact with the people. Your accommodation will be at Clouds Mountain Lodge on a full board basis.
GOLDEN MONKEYS TRACKING AND CYCLING TOURS
After breakfast at Clouds Mountain Lodge, you will drive to Mgahinga National Park for a briefing before tracking Golden Monkeys in their natural habitat. If time allows, enjoy a guided community walk to learn about local crafts and meet a traditional healer. You can also rent a bike from the lodge to explore nearby villages and immerse yourself in Batwa culture. Optional afternoon activities include a coffee experience showcasing the production process, participating in the Pack for a Purpose initiative by donating unused items, and enjoying Batwa cultural entertainment with music and storytelling around a bonfire. You will spend the night at Mount Gahinga Lodge with full board accommodation.
RETURN TO ENTEBBE AND FLY OUT
You will have breakfast at the lodge before flying back with Aero-link at 8:30 AM, arriving in Entebbe at 11:25 AM for your connecting international flight. Please let us know if you would like to add an extra night in Entebbe. A transfer will be arranged for you to Entebbe Airport for your departure flight. Depending on your flight time, we may also arrange an afternoon domestic flight for you.
